Progress with Kwikwetlem Business Park Project

I’ve had the good fortune to be working with the great team at Kwikwetlem First Nation Enterprises (KFNE) for the past couple of months.  KFNE is guiding development of the Kwikwetlem Business Park off Pitt River Road in Port Coquitlam.  The Business Park is an 88-hectare development on Kwikwetlem First Nation IR2. The project will help resolve one of Metro Vancouver’s biggest challenges. The market for industrial land is currently at 1.9% which is the lowest in North America.

The Business Park will be developed in three phases. The centerpiece for Phase One will be a new Health & Wellness Centre long envisioned by the Kwikwetlem First Nation.  The centre is designed with an indigenous perspective, blending conventional western medicine, alternative wellness therapies and a model of informed client care/customer service that are essential in facilitating balance within the health needs of each individual.  The 2nd Annual Golf Tournament to raise awareness and funds for the Health & Wellness Centre will be held on Aug 23 at the Swaneset Bay Resort and Country Club in Pitt Meadows.
