On May 5, 2017 during the North Central Local Government Association (NCLGA) AGM in Terrace, Kevin was presented with the NCLGA bell that he used on dozens of occasions during past AGMs.  Kevin would ring the bell enthusiastically to marshal members and attendees back into the main meeting room so the program could resume following

KBC Keeper of the NCLGA BellOn May 5, 2017 during the North Central Local Government Association (NCLGA) AGM in Terrace, Kevin was presented with the NCLGA bell that he used on dozens of occasions during past AGMs.  Kevin would ring the bell enthusiastically to marshal members and attendees back into the main meeting room so the program could resume following breaks.

NCLGA President Shaely Wilbur (Councilor Dawson Creek) presented the bell to Kevin stating that the NCLGA Executive felt with new technology and other means to marshal people back into session during NCLGA events there was no further need for the bell.  She told the assembly that Kevin the unanimous choice of the Executive as to who should receive the bell as most in the room had heard him ring it often in past years.

In thanking President Wilbur for the honour of receiving the NCLGA bell Kevin stated that he would keep it safe and make it available should the NCLGA require it in the future.   He then gave it one last ceremonial ring to the delight of many in the crowd.

Kevin emceed most of the North Central Municipal Association (NCMA) and later the NCLGA AGMs and NCMA/NCLGA Luncheons at UBCM between 2003 and 2013. Kevin also provided Media and Issues Management services to the Association during this period.

On May 3, 2013 Kevin was made a Life Member of the North Central Local Government Association.  In making the presentation NCLGA President Mayor Mitch Campsall of 100 Mile House stated the award was being given ‘In Appreciation for your Dedication and Exemplary Service to the NCLGA”.
